“Gen Art: Unbreakable,” packed the house all week long at the Baia Beach Club during Art Basel Miami

Miami Beach, Florida Dec 9, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - Gen Art, the 25-year emerging art, film, and fashion talent incubator, with wide industry and consumer following, debuted an immersive three (3) day Art and Fashion Experience during Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami this past weekend, entitled “Gen Art: Unbreakable.” From December 2nd through December 4th, at the Baia Beach Club inside the Mondrian South Beach Hotel property, Gen Art welcomed a steady, full crowd of notable guests including former NBA all-star Baron Davis, celeb DJs Felix Da Housecat and Anna de Ferran, and hip-hop artist, T.I., who bought art and fashion in the nearly sold-out show.

The live program included a pop-up art gallery poolside in the five (5) Baia Beach Club cabanas, all curated by Georgeana Ireland, Gen Art’s resident Artistic Director and owner of Ethos Contemporary Art. The slate of artists included Luciana, Amber Goldhammer, David Krovblit, Mrsn, Artlord, Victor San Andres, and Licata. Known in the fashion world as Jessica Licata, she is also one part of the design duo of equalshuman, alongside co-designer Alison Vitolo, and the brand came to Miami fresh off the heels of their recent debut at New York Fashion Week, to unveil their strictly direct-to-consumer fashion collection, which sold out and had to be restocked on day one.

DCI Projects, Gen Art’s new digital partner agency, owned and operated by Nick DeRosiers, kicked off the festivities on Thursday night, December 2nd, at 7 pm with a live performance by Florida-based electronic-pop group, We Want More, Gen Art’s NFT launch with BingeBuilderX (a talent incubator and digital content investment marketplace powered by web3 communities), live art and fashion presentation featuring equalshuman, the unveiling of the Ethos Contemporary Art pop-up gallery, live graffiti art by Licata and Mrsn.

The following days, Friday to Saturday, December 3rd and 4th, Gen Art unveiled their daytime cabanas adjacent to the Mondrian pool at the Baia Beach Club, which was co-hosted with equalshuman and Ethos Contemporary Art, and presented by Wedge HR. The lively cabanas were packed with guests day and night, who shopped and sipped, courtesy of Canteen Spirits.

“Art Basel Miami was an incredibly opportunistic time for Gen Art and our headlining talent to close out 2021 strong while setting themselves up for success in 2022. Our emerging talent came to sell a ton of art and sustainable fashion, and they did just that. They have made it, they have persevered, and they are in business!” explained Gen Art CEO Keri Ingvarsson.

Theo Rokos, President of Wedge HR (a video-interview solutions-based tech company that empowers the creative and other industries with efficient web tools to hire faster and more effectively), and the event’s presenting partner, added, “Supporting other founders and creators in growing their companies is our business, so our partnership with Gen Art is a natural extension of what we do, and this week it enabled us to directly impact many young artists in such an impactful and positive way.”
