Back in 1984, Dr. Kuhlmann graduated with his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin following a Ph.D. in Anatomy with a research emphasis in embryology and teratology from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1981. He then went on to perform his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Eastern Virginia Medical School of the Medical College of Hampton Roads.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology & maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
