Chennai, Tamil Nadu Jan 10, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Gojan School of Business and Technology is one of the reputed institutes in Tamilnadu. The college is run by Gojan Educational Trust Chennai, and is affiliated with Anna University. GSBT partnered with MIT Square London to establish the RAISE Centre of Excellence, where the focus is on Research, Applications, Innovation, Science & Technology, and Entrepreneurship, which aims to promote international collaboration.
The CoE was formally inaugurated on World Students’ Day and National Innovation Day (celebrated as Dr Abdul Kalam’s Birth Anniversary). The inauguration was presided over by Dr Selva Kumar (Principal), Dr Arunsankar G (Academics Director), Mr Ramadurai R (Students Affair Director), Mr Prabhu K (Placement Co-ordinator), and Mr Bahuruteen Ali Ahamadu (Assistant Professor). Ms Bhuvaneshwari Loganathan, Co-founder of MIT Square Group, and Mr Balasubramanian R, Founder of Mangaladeepam, were invited as chief guests to talk about the collaborations.
Dr Mithileysh Sathiyanarayanan, Founder & CEO at MIT Square London, said, “We are truly excited to establish the RAISE Centre of Excellence at Gojan to promote international collaboration in building sustainable solutions for our community”.
As part of the CoE, several initiatives have been rolled out. Dr Mithileysh conducted a brainstorming session on “Innovation Engineering Teaching” where several HoDs and professors interacted virtually and gained good exposure to industry-institution collaboration. Mr Ravishanker Muniasamy (Career Consultant of MIT Square) conducted E10 Career Clinic that focused on emotional intelligence. The CoE also will be focussing on many CSR activities.
GSBT Campus Radio, powered by MIT Square, was launched immediately and several episodes were featured on Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, and Spotify.
Interestingly, the RAISE CoE is planning to organise internships and foreign studies mela in the coming months. There will be many exciting events and programs to look out for in the year 2023.
