There is good news for the devotees who have been waiting for the opening of the temple in the state for a long time. The world-famous Salasar Balaji temple of Churu district of the state of Rajasthan has opened for a visit from 1st July 2021, after the long lockdown guidelines issued by the state government.
Salasar Balaji is a religious place for the devotees of Lord Hanuman. It is located in the Churu district of Rajasthan. Throughout the year innumerable Indian devotees visit Salasar Dham for darshan. Big fairs are organized every year on Chaitra Purnima and Ashwin Purnima. During this, lakhs of devotees gather here for the darshan of this revered deity. However, the fair was not organised last year and this year as well due to the epidemic and the possibilities of it being organised this year on Ashwin Purnima also has not been finalised yet.
It is noteworthy that this is for the second time in 266 years, Salasar Balaji temple has been closed to Covid lockdown guidelines. In 2020, the temple was shut down for a period of almost 7 months. This decision was taken in the meeting of the temple management committee, Shri Hanuman Seva Samiti, and the district administration. After this decision, there is a wave of happiness among the devotees.
In continuation of the order dated 26th June 2021, the three-level public discipline guidelines of the Government of Rajasthan, Home Department, in compliance with the orders of the District Collectorate Churu, it has been decided to open the Salasar Balaji temple for the visitors from 1st July 2021, under the following conditions.
- The temple will be open for darshan from 5 am to 4 pm and will be completely closed on Sundays.
- Before entering the temple, the certificate of having applied the vaccine dose will have to be shown on mobile or paper. Those people who have not been vaccinated will be able to enter for darshan by showing the negative report of the RTPCR/RAPID test.
- Entry without a mask will be prohibited and the social distancing guidelines of maintaining a distance of 2 yards will have to be followed.
- Hands will have to be washed with soap or sanitized before entry.
- All Covid guidelines will have to be followed strictly.
- Offerings for worship like prasad, flowers, garland, and ringing of bells will be prohibited.
Temple priest, Shri Nitin Pujari has requested all the devotees for their cooperation to prevent further destruction caused due to the pandemic. Expressing his gratitude for the opening of the temple and allowing devotees to visit, Nitin Pujari Ji also prays for the good health of all the devotees.
