The mission of Healing Home Health Care, Inc. is to provide professional and paraprofessional skilled nursing and personal care services to clients in their homes in an effort to help them achieve the highest level of potential in their day-to-day self-care activities.
Gurpreet came to the US in 1992 with a Bachelor of Art from India. She was 24 years old and spoke minimal English, but could read and write well. Her husband constantly encouraged her to study further, but she was not confident in her communications skills as she wasn’t strong in English. He reminded her that the majority of her family was in the medical field and how she had the strength and commitment to go through it. She had her first child in 1995, second in 1998, and the third one in 2003. While she was taking care of the kids she ran a home daycare for 7 years. One day, giving the words of encouragement from her husband some thought, she enrolled in an Adult English class.
She was never second-guessed about how she will balance school with three kids and work. It took her 2 years to complete basic education then she took the second step to enter the nursing field. She has now completed LPN, RN, BSN, MSN, and finally FNP. She credits her husband and kids for helping her to reach her goals.
While Gurpreet was completing her BSN at Kaplan University, she and her husband started Healing Home Health Care, Inc. Their business is doing great and has been established in multiple states as it specializes in Infusion Nursing. She graduated from Kaplan University in 2016 and started her Masters shortly after. In 2020, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree (Family Nurse Practitioner Program) from Chamberlain University College of Nursing. She is trying to start up a MA and LPN school to motivate and educate the new generation of nurses. One thing Gurpreet likes to say is “if I can do it, then everyone in the world can do it”.
In order to stay up to date in her field, she remains an active member of the American Nurses Association (ANA). The ANA is a 501 professional organization to advance and protect the profession of nursing.
