Originally from Dallas Texas, Dr Rainville completed his undergraduate education at Baylor University. He later moved to New York City, where he completed his residency in General Surgery at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine at Montefiore Hospital. He then went on to complete his fellowship training in Bariatric/Robotic Surgery at the University of Texas in Houston.

Bariatric surgery includes a variety of procedures performed on people who have obesity.
