Dubai, United Arab Emirates Sep 4, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Hazza AlMansouri, the Emirati astronaut has said, there are two things that he wants to know from his colleague Sultan Alneyadi after returning to the earth. The astronaut has stated ‘I have been in touch with him every day since he left…But there are two things that I want to ask him when we meet face to face’.
For every astronaut, a spacewalk is very much exciting and interesting. And there are many things they want to discuss about a spacewalk because in that time they get to experience various kinds of things. AlMansouri has said ‘I spoke to him briefly after the spacewalk’. He has also stated, ‘But I am not satisfied. I want to know all the details about it. A spacewalk is something every astronaut looks forward to doing. It is really amazing that he got to do it’.
In a discussion with the media, AlMansouri has said ‘I want to hear from him the experience of his ride back home…I want to compare it with my ride back on the Soyuz capsule. This will help me to learn more about the different vehicles and how the body reacts differently while landing on the ocean and landing on a hard surface. This is important knowledge that can be passed on to the next generation’.
Alneyadi went for a mission on the ISS for six months and he shared many photos at that time. Not only that, but his clicked picture has been published by NASA too. For that reason, AlMansouri has said ‘He has a good eye for photography and often gets good angles…The feedback I got every day, from NASA, from the scientists and from ground controllers was that he is very efficient in his work and that he is really good in taking photos’.
AlMansouri also talked about how their bond grew and on that topic he said ‘We started this endeavour together…The training in Russia was hard for us as we were some of the first Arab astronauts. Our bond and camaraderie built up from there’.
