Los Angeles, California Aug 30, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - The Henry Armstrong Foundation announced this week that they are seeking corporate sponsors and appealing to all media, Christians, boxing fans, professional boxers, promoters, trainers, commentators, and the general public, for their support; in honoring Undisputed Three-Time World Champion Boxer Henry Armstrong’s legacy through the Henry Armstrong Foundation, a non-profit 501(3) tax-exempt organization.
Funds raised will be used in Armstrong’s honor to support their Forward Movement Mission to be of service to at-risk youth and the underserved in communities worldwide, offering a hand up; not a handout through our food, clothing, and toys, giveaway program; and athletic and medical scholarships program and positive self-image – psychology youth program.
Edward Scott, Jr., grandson and founder of the Henry Armstrong Foundation commented, that “a mind is a terrible thing to waste” and that “A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true.” It is important to be involved in the community and have an interest in making the community prosper. Our Forward Movement Mission, represents boxing legend Henry Armstrong’s moving forward fighting style, which resulted in Armstrong becoming the only fighter in boxing history to win three undisputed championships in three different weight divisions simultaneously within 10 months, in 1938, and the movement helps to support at-risk youth and low-income families in underserved communities.
We believe that every young person has been given a gift at birth and their gift is their talent given to them by God, and what they do with their talent is their gift back to God. The Bible says in proverbs 18:16 A man’s gift maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men.
We are encouraging young people to write down their clear vision and renew their minds, and discover their faith purpose in life, the bible says in Habakkuk 2-3, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. And in Romans 12:2, Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The power of a mental transaction.
It is so very important that the youth today fully understand the importance of the word of God and to disregard appearances and think TRUTH, regardless of appearances, and feel that things are as they wish them to be. “He calleth things that are not seen as though they were, and the unseen becomes seen.” Romans 4:17
The Henry Armstrong Foundation’s positive self-image – psychology – mentoring - youth program is designed to recondition the mind, educate, uplift, empower, and enrich youth and boost self–esteem and build confidence in young people ages 8-17, through developing a successful prosperity consciousness to learn about being of service, gratitude, building, working, and dreaming and creating! Being a go-giver and go-getter! “action planning,” “setting goals” “financial literacy” and to become entrepreneurs/leaders in their local community by serving the communities where they live locally and globally, discovering their definite faith purpose in life. Applying, the laws of cause and effect and action and reaction.
Our athletic and medical scholarship programs are designed to inspire and motivate and help eliminate financial boundaries for High School Seniors who want to attend college and to promote more equal opportunity in college attendance.
The scholarships were implemented to honor Mr. Armstrong who had a dream of attending medical school but lacked the financial resources. As an alternative, he decided to pursue boxing as a career and rose to the top.
