Bengaluru, Karnataka Aug 17, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - HKBK College of Engineering under the guidance of Sri C.M.Faiz Mohammed, Director of HKBK Group of Institutions partnered with MIT Square, London to establish the Centre of Excellence (COE) in RAISE (Research, Arts/Applications, Innovation, Science & Technology, and Entrepreneurship), with an objective of developing global industry institute partnerships in the latest technologies. As part of the CoE, IoT Lab was set up as an initial step to foster research and knowledge among the faculties and students.
The Centre of Excellence is established at the Department of Electronics and Communication, HKBKCE to benefit all other departments and other HKBK Group of Institutions such that the faculties, researchers, and students are provided with internships, and exchange programs, abroad studies, patent filing, product development, and startups.
The inauguration was led by Dr. Tabassum Ara (Principal), Prof. Hussain Ahmed (Head, IQAC), Dr. Latha (HoD-ECE), Prof. Surendra K.V, Dr. B.P.Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Maaz Ahmed, Prof. Husna Muhammadi, Prof. Mohammed Jebran, Prof. Suhas A.R, and Prof. K.H. Yogananda Raj.
Ms. Bhuvaneshwari Loganathan, Co-founder of MIT Square India, was invited as a chief guest to inaugurate the COE and expressed her views about the importance of internships and research work in the latest technologies.
In his comments, Dr. Mithileysh Sathiyanarayanan (Founder & CEO of MIT Square, London), said, “RAISE is a global platform that will connect students and faculties with foreign counterparts to produce interesting and innovative works”.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (Scientist & Former President of India) is an inspiration for Dr. Mithileysh, who is also a scientist. Following the footsteps of Dr. Abdul Kalam, Raj Square Charity Foundation (RSCF) was established in 2010 to support the needy and create awareness in the areas of education, healthcare, and green solutions.
The main spotlight of the ceremony was the “Green Sustainable Solutions India Initiative” where several saplings were planted on the campus and recycle of batteries was initiated to protect the environment and go greener by being part of the sustainable development goals (SDG).
