Tarun Poddar an Entrepreneur serving Apple South Asia and Jasmeen Wankhede the renowned Criminal Lawyer and Social Activist running NGO Durga is on a mission to make a difference in every life touches.

We sat down with Tarun, who had come up with this IASR Awards to discuss issues facing NGOs and Individual Social Servant around the world today, what it’s like to run a B to B nonprofit, and how His team plays a role in the future of giving back.

Let’s start with IASR’s mission.

"IASR’s Mission is to be the primary support and platform for a civil society represented by a global community of informed, empowered and committed NGOs that fully participate with the World in decision-making and programs leading to a better world and to Facilitate through various means the development of a dynamic and informed world-wide NGO community able to influence policies and actions at all levels.” Tarun Says, while Interacting with Jasmeen She says we Dream to assist in The process of social integration and personal realization of Underprivileged Individual, Groups and Communities additionally to Encourage and popularize voluntary work.

We Dream to build a world in which everyone attains the right to survival, protection, development, and participation.

What about the IASR Awards?

We have come up with this Award to help those NGOs and Individual Social Representative to let them identified and to give an encouragement who have been working towards humanity since years but has no identity. This award will be given in 10 segments to those who have been working significantly towards human service in the sectors including Women Empowerment, Child Labor, Legal Services, Medical Help, and Environment & Global Warming.

Where are the next big opportunities for IASR?

We’ve been planning our own little innovation incubators around the organization and incentivizing people to come up with new ideas and new ways of solving problems that Our Society has—whether those are around education, Empowerment or Employability.

We’re also working with technology to help community workers enter data, For example, the number of cases of seen in a particular village. Then, we can combine that data with data from other community workers and make sure supplies are getting to where they need to be.

How other executives and Team members help you and your mission?

The relationships we have with companies has changed from a funding-only relationship to a much broader relationship where we’re asking for skill sets from organizations. Some of our corporate partners have skilled volunteer programs, where people with skills we don’t have come and work with IASR for three or six months on short-term projects. They bring in their skills to help bring an outside perspective in. The private sector world is ahead of the nonprofit world, and we receive so much value from that experience by bringing in people through these skilled volunteer programs.

After the Controversy about your Novel in August 2018, whom you find responsible for the gigantic Mistakes?

I am no one to judge the Guilty, I respect Court orders and they have proved the allegation baseless, although I am thankful to those who tried to defame me that helped me a lot to get achieve on my target.

You are a member of multiple boards, companies, and organizations from business leaders to entertainment figures to venture capitalists. What’s the role of a good board member?

I think that the role of a board member—and particularly, the chair of the board, who works really closely with the Management—is to support them publically but to question them in private. Having been on both sides of that relationship, I know that’s incredibly useful and helpful. That chair should be a cheerleader in public and nudging the Management in private, to aim higher. The board’s role is to be partners with the senior management team and. They should have a give-and-take relationship where they’re acknowledging the really good things that the team is doing and nudging them to be even more ambitious.

While Asking to Jasmeen “Who do you look up to? Who do you look to for guidance and inspiration?

We have Many Experienced IAS and Chairpersons on Board in our Evolution and Advisory Panel. They take a gigantic company that is in real trouble and turned it around. they engage people in a vision and motivate a team. They make sure that the most disadvantaged people in the world have a voice. they truly believe in that.

As an Entrepreneur, what advice do you have for aspiring leaders?

The first thing I’d say is, “IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE ANY RULE, REACH THE TOP AND CHANGE THE RULE..” Giving up is the End of Life we need to keep moving for a Dignified Life.

IASR Team members include many Renowned Faces across the World in their Advisory and Jury Panel, The Award Ceremony is to be held in May 2019.
