Instrumentation technicians are employed by the majority of factories and are responsible for ensuring that equipment is operating in a safe, secure, and effective.
In the role of an instrumentation tech, you'll test calibration, install, repair and examine manufacturing equipment as well as monitoring devices. Additionally, you will conduct general maintenance on the equipment, and develop new equipment for recording and measuring.
You can also collect data on the environment and observe the emission of pollutants that the plants produce. On a typical working day, you'll work with analytic and scientific computer programs including calculators, current and voltage meters, as well as electronic probes for diagnosing malfunctions in the circuit.

- Examines the technical documentation for the Client and specifications.
- Controls of subcontracted engineering documents.
- Defines engineering requirements.
- Creates the technical documentation for requisitions of systems and instruments and conducts technical evaluations.
- Technical support for Project group.
- Optimizes the instrument system to ensure minimal expense and amplification that is in line with the requirements for performance.
- Develops specifications for the instruments, systems (DCS, ESD, F&G), and their installation.
- Conducts functional analysis (control, ESD, F&G).
- Implements instrument detail design on P&IDs.
- Creates data sheets for instruments as well as loop diagrams.
