Entry-Level ARC A310 Desktop Graphics Card

Fullerton, California Oct 16, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - Intel Officially Announced Entry-Level ARC A310 Desktop Graphics Card

Intel has finally released its ARC graphic series for desktops with several variations that deal with different applications and software. Amongst the launch of other components, intel very subtly announced the ARC A310 desktop graphics card launch on their official website. Intel has updated the specifications on their official platform, enough for the users to get an idea of what to expect. But the price and exact launch date are yet to be officially released.

Intel Arc A-Series Graphics Cards for Desktops

Intel has introduced its latest ARC-A series graphics cards for the gaming universe. Intel ARC-A series comprises built-in machine learning, graphics acceleration, and ray tracing hardware. These graphic cards feature advanced technologies that unite fluid gaming, rich content creation, latest visual technologies across desktop and mobile form factors. ARC-A Graphic Card series, with its cutting-edge technology, features three different variants, each with its unique usage. For instance, Intel ARC 7 Graphics are used where high-performance gaming is concerned, whereas Intel ARC 5 Graphics work well with Advanced Gaming, and Intel ARC3 Graphics facilitate an enhanced gaming experience.

The Launch Of Arc A310 Graphics Card

Intel has made several significant announcements regarding the launch of their hardware this month, which includes 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs and ARC A770 GPU along with the half-launch of ARC A380.

Intel has officially announced its entry-level graphics card ARC A310. The announcement of the Intel ARC A310 comes as a surprise for gamers. It might be either due to its modest nature or vague release, which can be debated. So far, Intel has released ARC A380 GPU which can be used as an alternative for AMD Navi 24 or NVIDIA low-end Turing GPUs. Yet, as per Intel, there is still space for another desktop GPU, ARC A310.

A new entry-level desktop GPU from Intel

Intel's ARC A310 is built on a 6nm process based on DG2-128 graphics processors in its ACM-G11 variant. This variant can support DirectX 12 Ultimate, which ensures that all the smooth games will run on ARC A310 and guarantees support for viable-rate shading, hardware-ray tracing, and more for high-end video games. ARC A310 comprises a DG2-128 graphics processor, an average-sized chip with a die area of 157 mm² and 7,200 million transistors. Unlike ARC A380, which is fully unlocked, ARC A310 has around 768 shading units, 32 texture mapping units, and 16 ROPs

Hence, if the A310 is compared with the A770, A380, or RTX 330, which consists of 16 to 33 XE cores and memory ranging from 8 to 16 GB with a memory bandwidth of 124 GB/s and with a 64-bit memory interface. The A310, due to the difference in specifications, is going to be around fifty percent of the difference in performance. Also, ARC A310 is expected to be outmatched by AMD Ryzen's integrated RDNA 2 graphics. That is why if you're looking for a GPU to play Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K raytracing at 720p as minimum settings, then it is suggested to opt for A7 or any other high-end graphics card that can facilitate modern gaming without any fluctuations. Therefore, A310 is more likely to be used by Intel's partners or users for built-in customized PCs that lack integrated graphics.

Moreover, it is necessary to note that this desktop GPU is more suitable for PCs that lack integrated graphic cards than for high-performing gaming. Intel's official announcement shows that A310 features six Xe-cores operating at around 2000MHz with a speed of 15.5 GB/s, followed by 4GB of GDDR6 memory connected using a 64-bit comprehensive memory interface. Reportedly, this card has six raytracing acceleration cores and supports up to four external displays compatible with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.0, although the numbers of physical outputs vary per card. Further, ARC A310 GPU supports PCIe Gen5 4.0 x16 with a power bandwidth of 124 GB/s that can operate at a TDP of 75W.

 Pricing and Release Date

Intel has announced the launch of its Arc Alchemist Graphic cards in three variants to be released during Q3 2022. The ARC 5770 and ARC 580 will reportedly be released on October 12th and 13th, respectively. At the same time, ARC A380 has already launched in June 2022. However. as far as ARC A310 is concerned, Intel has not specified any date for its release yet; all we know is that it will be released sometime in Q3 2022, October.

Therefore, the prices of the Intel ARC series vary for each variant as per their specifications and performance criteria; Intel has announced ARC A770 to be around $329; at the same time, the A750 costs around $289, A580 has been priced at $220, and A380 will be available for about $139. The A310 price is yet to be announced by Intel, but it is expected to fall in the range of $100-$200
