She is currently the Executive Director of Changi Travel Exchange (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Changi Travel Services and the Changi Airport Group) and is approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to head a Financial Institution given her excellent background in AML/CTF. In addition, she organized retail bazaars onsite at the dorms so as to ensure that the essential needs of the workers were taken care of. Her tireless efforts were covered in the local papers and she was also praised by the local regulator for her timely help.

Ranjani is also a director at Olimea Advisory, a firm committed to helping clients make informed decisions about their business expansion plans (strategy and on-the-ground execution) to Singapore. Under her leadership, the companies that she has assisted have grown successfully not just in Singapore but around the world as well. Given her experience, Ranjani is regularly invited to serve on reputed boards where she provides strategic guidance for the organization’s growth as their director. The Global boards that she serves on include Multinational Corporates within the Fintech, Global Human Resource, and Financing industries. She is also asked to speak as an SME and AML/CTF expert in local and overseas conferences as well as to the local media’s info-ed programs.

Ranjani's passion for giving back to the community has allowed her to helm the International Trade Council as the Honorary Chairperson for the Singapore Chapter where she is focused on promoting and enabling cross-border trade between Singapore and the rest of the world. In this capacity, she works closely with Chambers, Embassies, and Corporates to add value to the Council members to facilitate networking sessions, trade missions and also assisted them with business mentoring initiatives. She has also been regularly invited as a judge and as a speaker for several pitch competitions or conferences and has been very generous with her knowledge sharing to help deserving member companies succeed. An accomplished Indian Arts Professional where her love and passion over the years has enabled her to give back as a Dancer, Judge, Emcee, Teacher among others has paved the way for her to contribute back as a board member to reputed arts organizations in Singapore. This includes being the current Chairperson for Community and Integration Initiatives at the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society and a Director at the Singapore Indian Orchestra and Choir where she plays an active role in promoting the Indian Arts using her Arts and professional experience.

A cause that Ranjani truly believes in is helping women in distress having suffered a major personal setback in her life. She has since made it her life mission to help fellow women in similar situations and has worked with organizations such as the Financial Women’s Network, Project Smile and has also served on the board of Club2Care, an organization that has been set up specifically to address this.  On the personal front, Ranjani is married to a wonderful partner who backs her in everything she does and is a mother to 2 beautiful teenage daughters aged 18 and 16.

“Ranjani strongly believes that without the blessings of the Almighty, her parents and her extended family, the support of her husband and kids, the encouragement of all her bosses, colleagues, friends over the years, all of whom who have played a critical role in shaping her at different stages of her life, she would not have been able to don the several hats that she wears today. She humbly thanks the International Trade Council for this very special recognition and hopes to continue to make a difference to all around her as long as her health permits”.

The International Trade Council is indeed very proud and pleased to present the ITC’s Board Woman of the Year 2022 Award to Ranjani Rangan, a woman of several talents, a woman who continues to break her own glass ceilings, and a woman who is indeed a true inspiration and a role model to aspiring young ladies on how anything in life can be achieved with sincerity, perseverance, dedication, and hard work.
