Dr. Ryan earned her medical degree from the University of California, Davis Medical School. The UC Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento is among the nation's leading medical schools.
She was accepted to the prestigious Joint Ob/Gyn residency, reproductive endocrinology and Infertility fellowship program at the University of California, San Francisco. She also gained a fellowship at University of Arizona in Tucson.
During her fellowship, she was the recipient of multiple national recognition awards for excellence in research including the Berlex Scholar's Award in reproductive medicine. Based on her outstanding achievements and in recognition of her exceptional abilities she was offered a faculty appointment with the University of California, San Francisco Fertility Group in 1996.
Dr. Ryan joined the Pacific Fertility Center (PFC) in 1999. She is the director of the Third Party Parenting program at PFC, helping many of the patients in the LGBTQ community create families. Same sex couples need the help of sperm donors or egg donors/gestational carriers to have a child.
She is also the Medical Director of the Pacific Fertility Center Donor Egg Bank, the first independent frozen egg bank in Northern California. The Pacific Fertility Egg Bank is a full-service program that assists patients throughout the process and maintaining the highest level of service.
Unlike frozen donor egg banks that ship eggs to other locations, Dr. Ryan’s team helps patients through each step—onsite—from the first physician appointment to the selection of an egg donor profile to embryo transfer and pregnancy test.
