New York City, New York Oct 15, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Julie is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine, emergency medicine, and trauma. She works with patients of all ages at Buffalo Family Practice.
Buffalo, Texas and the surrounding areas have been lacking in number of healthcare providers for many years forcing patients to travel further than necessary for medical care. For this reason, Buffalo Family Practice is passionate about bringing quality healthcare to this community and providing care to patients of all ages for many years to come.
On her path towards becoming a nurse, Julie graduated with her Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Excelsior College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas at Tyler. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree (Family Nurse Practitioner Program) from Walden University.
In practice since 1997, she has worked in various areas of healthcare such as ER, trauma, medical/surgical, and labor and delivery. Growing up in Teague and living in Buffalo for a short period of time as a child, she is thrilled to be serving patients at Buffalo Family Practice.
A Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse who works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to deliver family-focused care. Given the rather broad nature of the “family” patient population focus, FNPs offer a wide range of healthcare services that revolve around the family unit; from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan.
In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
