It was written during a time when Kimberly Marasco confronted adversity in both education and work environments. She describes how undue stress contributed to a debilitating illness that made her life a living hell for many months.
Kim could not work or do barely anything as there were many symptoms associated with having a vestibular disorder. She discusses what she did to get better and the book sheds light on many sensitive issues that have remained in the dark for too long. Many people tried to silence and discredit her. However, the truth is nonetheless true and the book serves as her voice. It is her hope that the book will help others avoid the same traps she fell for and encourage positive change so that all can live healthy and stress-free lives.
Kimberly Marasco has a bachelor degree in history and a master's in business. Prior to publishing, Fallen From Grace with Ukiyoto Publishing in September 2019 she wrote a screenplay for a possible film adaptation. The impetus that drove her to publish her book came to fruition when she gained her strength back after falling ill to a debilitating stress-related illness brought on by undue stress that she encountered for several years. However, after she published her book, many people tried to silence and discredit her but she never gave up the perilous fight and ultimately had her voice heard.
While we were discussing with Kim about what drove her to write the book, she said, “I believe many people will find my material relatable as we all confront some type of adversity or hardships throughout our lives. My hope is for others who have been marginalized due to their differences know that they are significant and have the power to encourage change for a better society where everyone is treated fairly and given a voice. We must work together to make change happen.”
“I hope to increase awareness about vestibular disorders as they are triggered by stress and how we need to encourage the progression of democracy to live healthier lives,” Kim says.
Fallen From Grace has already received a lot of positive feedback from the time of its launch and has been showcased to more than twenty-five thousand bookstores and retail chains across the globe for taking up and placing a copy at their stores. As true stories and inspirational stories always find a way to people’s heart providing them with the much-needed hope and motivation to fight their own battles, few stores have taken up the copies on consignment basis while rest are in invigilation mode to place them and start selling. The title has also been made available on Ingram for wholesale purchase by stores and retailers.
Kim hopes to have her book sold in bookstores around the globe especially at stores such as Barnes and Noble and also plans to send few copies for preview to some stores for consideration and keeping on their shelves.
