Asif is also known as a film writer and screenwriter. He made his debut in the film industry with the TV serial 'Ishq Ibadat'. Along with this serial, he wrote stories, scripts, and dialogues for other TV dramas. Asif made a place in the Bollywood film industry by writing the story of actor Anil Kapoor's famous film "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga". For which he got many awards.
