Since its inception in 1995, the fundraiser has allowed the Freestore Foodbank to distribute more than 36 million meals. Every duck sold goes straight to helping feed children who do not know where they will get their next meal – which is over 80,000 children in the tristate area. The Rubber Duck Regatta is presented by Proctor & Gamble (Dawn product) , as well as other sponsors KEMBA Credit Union, Advantage Solutions, Acosta Sales & Marketing, Honda, Western & Southern, & 7UP.
The Rubber Duck Regatta helps kick-off Hunger Action Month when the Feeding America food banks unite to urge individuals to take action in their communities throughout September to help fight hunger in America.
