Following on from their critically-acclaimed 2017 album ‘No Audience With’, Records marks the return of Fast Boyfriends following an intense five years of writing and recording. Recorded in a barn in Kent, England, and produced by the band themselves and the legendary Guy Denning, recording sessions for the album focussed on capturing a unique ‘in the moment’ live vibe for the album with a strong punk DIY ethic.
With influences from a diverse range of artists from Julian Cope, The Modern Lovers and Bowie to the likes of Pulp, The Wedding Present, Sonic Youth, Weezer and The National, the band’s new album mixes strong songwriting, intriguing arrangements, and fuzzed up guitars to create their unique trademark Fast Boyfriends sound for what is the band’s best album to date.
