UNESCO has announced that two cities of Madhya Pradesh - Orchha and Gwalior have been selected under its ‘Historic Urban Landscape Project’ in its newsletter on Historic Towns and World Heritage cities. Madhya Pradesh is known for its myriad tourism offerings that include wildlife, heritage, culture, spirituality, adventure, and cuisine and attracts visitors from across the world.
The Satpura Tiger Reserve wins NatWest Group Earth Heroes award
The central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has always been at the forefront of wildlife and nature conservation in the sub-continent. The NatWest Group Earth Heroes Award was recently conferred upon the Satpura Tiger Reserve in the Earth Guardian category for the best management of resources. The Satpura Tiger Reserve has also been included in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. The Satpura Reserve was set up with a vision to allow visitors to participate actively in an immersive wilderness experience that includes nature walks, trekking, overnight camping, canoeing, and safaris.
Madhya Pradesh revives its international marketing activities with WTM 2021
Madhya Pradesh Tourism has announced its participation at World Travel Mart, London. The state is showcasing its immense diversity ranging from wildlife, nature, heritage, culture from 1-3rd November 2021. The stand will highlight the safety and hygiene aspects undertaken by the state’s tourism stakeholders in addition to providing detailed information about itineraries, circuits, and newly introduced tourism products in the state. Mr. Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board says: “With global travel opening up, we anticipate a great deal of interest in wildlife, adventure, and off-the-grid vacations, and Madhya Pradesh is uniquely equipped to offer an interesting array of tourism products to the international traveller.”
Madhya Pradesh Tourism will also be actively participating at the upcoming EXPO 2020 to raise visibility and increase brand recall among international visitors attending the globally much-awaited event which is set to take place from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022 in Dubai.
