Toronto, Ontario Jan 9, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Maju (Markas Juara) and Spirit of Math are excited to announce a new partnership that will bring the International Spirit of Math Contest to Indonesia for the 2024-25 school year.
This collaboration underscores Spirit of Math’s commitment to fostering cooperation, inspiring confidence, and unlocking the potential in every child worldwide. Indonesian students will now have the chance to showcase their talents on an international stage, building the confidence and skills essential for future success.
“At Spirit of Math, we are committed to transforming education for students globally,” said Kim Langen. "We are eager to partner with Roy Lo at Maju (Markas Juara) to foster young talent and support students in achieving their full potential.”
Roy Lo got a degree in Computer Science and holds a Post-Graduate Mathematics Teaching Certificate. He has more than 15 years of hands-on teaching experience. He has trained and brought his students to winning in various national and international mathematics competitions. He regularly leads workshops in inquiry-based learning and CPA (concrete-pictorial-abstract) approach in mathematics and has worked globally with many Singapore Maths adopting schools with their curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.
“We are thrilled to join forces with Spirit of Math to bring this incredible opportunity to students in Indonesia,” said Roy Lo. "We appreciate the profound educational and motivational impact that competitions like the International Spirit of Math Contest can have on students throughout their academic journeys.”
The partnership is one of many collaborations Spirit of Math is undertaking with international organizations to bring the International Spirit of Math Contest to every corner of the world. Competitive events such as these offer children an excellent opportunity to develop important skills such as analysis, problem solving and critical thinking. They also get the personal satisfaction (and motivational boost) of tackling and conquering some of the hardest questions.
