College Park, Maryland Mar 8, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Maryland International Pageants crowned 8 new titleholders on Saturday, March 6, 2021, in College Park, Maryland. Dakota Watts of Prince George’s County, MD was crowned as Miss Pre-Teen Maryland 2021, Melissa Deedy of Montgomery County, MD was crowned as MissTeen Maryland 2021, Andrea Parsons of Charles County, MD was crowned as Miss Maryland 2021, and Yolanda Stennett was crowned as Mrs. Maryland 2021. They were joined by a special guest, Miss Virginia World 2016, Sasha Perea, who served as the Mistress of Ceremony.
The field of competitors was rounded out by Des’Monay Barnes of Montgomery County, MD who will serve as Ms. Maryland International 2021, Emuni Manley of White Pains MD was crowned as Jr. Young Miss Maryland 2021, Hattie Goberdhansinghof Silver Springs was crowned as Young Miss Maryland 2021 and Maliah Scott of Glen Burnie Maryland who will serve as Little Miss Maryland International 2021
The candidates who were vying for the titles of Miss Pre-Teen, Miss Teen, Miss, and Mrs. competed in four distinct categories of judging: Fun Fashion Wear, Fitness Wear, Personality Poise and Projection in Evening Wear, and their Interview.
Executive Director, Janelle Wright, stated: “This pageant is meant to empower each lady and provide them with an avenue to highlight their accomplishments and respective platforms. Maryland International Pageants promotes confidence and celebrates female leadership.”
Four of the Maryland 2021 titleholders will compete for a national title in Kingsport, Tennessee from July 18th through July 31st, 2021.
