Well, the story of how he ultimately got his moniker - Md Moin Uddin's narrative begins in middle school and is rather entertaining. Prez recalls sitting through a speech and debate that he found tedious. He would stroll past another class that seemed a lot more enjoyable every time he needed to use the restroom or leave the class.
It was an aeronautics class, and some of his buddies were in it. They were making planes while listening to music. He then asked his teacher if he might move to the aeronautics class, but he was told that he had already missed the deadline for changing courses. He was upset, so the teacher gave him a deal: give a speech persuading the class why he should leave, and the class would decide whether or not he can leave.
He delivered his speech to the class, and everyone was blown away! They were all so impressed that they began clapping. A boy at the back of the room joked that the speech reminded him of a president or something.
"Yeah, like a good president!" said another kid. For nearly a week, his classmates referred to him as "The good President." Even though it was a joke, Prez remembered it when he first started singing and simply abbreviated it to Kholachokh.
The Music of Kholachokh
Md Moin Uddin was playing all throughout his city, as well as traveling to other states. He eventually relocated to Dhaka to focus on his music career, and he currently divides his time between Gopalgonj. He's released several albums.
