It’s a pleasure speaking with you here today. Please give us some details about you and your story. The people want to know; how did you get started in this realm of work?
Thank you for speaking with me today. It actually was not too hard to get into my field. I had always held a customer service position anytime I ever worked a 9 to 5 job. So one way or another I kept picking up new skills from jobs. Fast forward to 2018 the last job I ever held was at Consolidated Credit located in South Florida where I worked there for 3 months until being fired. Because I took the firing personally it motivated me to never want to work for anybody again. So then I don't want to work for anyone but I had the Dilemma of finding out what I wanted to do since I knew a job was not for me. I told myself that I had no choice but to use the skills I already have. What was my most recent skill obviously credit counseling? But it was a bit more challenging to start a credit counseling business versus credit repair. Credit repair had the training I could attend online and I knew if I could learn this skill I would dominate and not work for anyone again. So that's what I essentially did. Great. So what services are you currently offering?
So the services that I currently offer are all around financial consulting, credit repair, building business credit e-books and workshops, loans for both business and personal, as well as a list of 25+ side hustles that anyone can choose from to get into not only to increase revenue but add another skill or find their calling. Absolutely! And I know your journey has not been easy. What can you share if anything with fellow soon-to-be entrepreneurs or those looking to start a business? What kind of hardships can you tell them to expect to face?
I would definitely tell anyone that is venturing into starting their own business not to ever give up and never care what anyone thinks. I have seen two things so many times with entrepreneurs. The first thing is they tend to not handle rejection or failure well and will quit their business at the drop of a dime. That's usually never necessary in my opinion. Usually, there is either a lesson or a solution in the situation at hand so quitting, in my opinion, signifies that a business was never for you in the first place. Waste of time and money. The other thing is people that who want to be entrepreneurs for whatever reason tend to care what people think a little more than they should. It shouldn't matter if your family, friends, or whoever takes you seriously when posting about your business. A stranger will buy from you or buy your product faster than family or friends most times. Your not posting the business for them to profit. You are essentially doing it for yourself.
That's some great stone-cold advice, Mrs.Bobbs. I'm sure following that small piece of advice alone has helped aid your success. Can you tell me what success mean to you exactly?
Thank you. Yes. Success for me means being able not only successfully run my business but to be able to also show others how to successfully run theirs. That is true success. If I learned the ins and outs of my business and taught a class to others on how to do the same would I be considered successful if those same people were not able to accomplish what I have accomplished. The answer is yes, however, the success is limited. Limited knowledge. Knowledge comes in the masses I feel from being able to teach others the same keys.
I absolutely agree. So what can you tell me is next for you in your career?
I honestly want to continue showing people the cool things I'm learning in the financial industry. So mentoring is a step for me in the future and I want to just continue to excel in what was destined for me.
