Denison, Texas Aug 11, 2026 (Issuewire.com)  - Megan Little, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, is a Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of nursing experience, including six years in advanced practice specializing in nephrology. She currently practices at Kidney Care Associates in Denison, Texas, where she has spent her entire advanced practice career providing comprehensive care to patients living with acute and chronic kidney disease. Drawing on a diverse clinical background that includes intensive care, hospice, oncology, and palliative care, Megan delivers a holistic, compassionate approach that supports patients through some of their most complex healthcare journeys.

Throughout her career, Megan has remained committed to treating the whole person, recognizing that kidney disease often affects every aspect of a patient’s life. Her broad nursing experience has strengthened her clinical judgment while reinforcing the importance of empathy, education, and long-term relationships in achieving positive patient outcomes.

Megan earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2020 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2012. She began her nursing education by earning an Associate Degree in Nursing from Grayson County College in 2010. Her educational journey reflects years of dedication to advancing her knowledge while remaining committed to serving patients throughout North Texas.

Originally pursuing studies in agriculture, Megan ultimately discovered her true calling in healthcare. She credits her career path to faith and a strong sense of purpose, viewing nursing not simply as a profession but as a vocation centered on serving others. That calling led her to Grayson County College, where she laid the foundation for a career devoted to compassionate, evidence-based patient care.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Megan actively invests in the future of the nursing profession. She is a member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association and Texas Nurse Practitioners and serves as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students, helping prepare the next generation of healthcare providers through mentorship and hands-on clinical education.

Looking ahead, Megan plans to continue practicing in the field she loves while pursuing certification as a Certified Nephrology Nurse–Nurse Practitioner (CNN-NP), a credential that reflects advanced expertise in nephrology care.

“I love working in nephrology and feel deeply fulfilled in this specialty,” Megan says. “I plan to continue practicing in nephrology over the next five years and beyond, as it is a field I am truly passionate about. I am also working toward obtaining my Certified Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (CNN-NP) certification to further strengthen and validate my expertise in this area. While the preparation is challenging, it is very important to me as it represents a higher level of competency and commitment to nephrology care.”

On a more personal note, Megan is a mother of two who enjoys golfing, watching football, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.

Through her unwavering commitment to lifelong learning, patient advocacy, and clinical excellence, Megan Little continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients with kidney disease while advancing the future of nephrology care.
