Miranda Spigener-Sapon Creator of Amazon Prime series Marisa Romanov to Moderate BEA/BookCon Panels

Spigener-Sapon’s four-book deal with Winterwolf Press, with the first book to release in November, are prequels to her noir/sci-fi series, Marisa Romanov, coming to Amazon Prime later this year.

Los Angeles, California Apr 1, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Miranda Spigener-Sapon’s first prequel from Winterwolf Press, Charles: A Marisa Romanov Story is set to release in November 2019. The book explores the vast universe that holds mysterious and dangerous secrets about a multi-verse and parallel world. This forbidden knowledge is guarded by a team of entities that walk among us. One of these beings is known as…Charles. The feature film rights for the books is in talks with a major studio for a feature film.

Miranda Spigener-Sapon is an award-winning writer who in 1997, Miranda presented her dual Off-Broadway play, The Flame, which ran at the former Bleecker Street Theatre, in New York City as well as at the NY Deli Theatre in Houston, Texas, which she directed. The play received critical acclaim by Houston Press and The Village Voice during its original run. In 2017, Miranda directed the 20th anniversary run of The Flame in Los Angeles, gaining praise from The Los Angeles Times.

Most recently, Miranda has been in The Hollywood Reporter announcing the start of production on her first scripted series, Marisa Romanov to appear on Amazon Prime. The show is inspired from the 2001 International Venice Film Festival and Berlin Film Festival award-winning short. Previously, Miranda directed the first documentary of a docu-series, Masculinity That Inspires Change, written by Gunter Swoboda, available on Amazon Prime. Miranda is repped by agents Karen Patmas and Paula Allen of National Talent LA and managed by Will McPherson at M3 Literary Management.

Miranda will be moderating two panels this spring in New York City at Book Expo America and Book Con. She will moderate "Giving a Voice to the Voiceless" at Book Expo America on Friday, May 31 at 2:15 pm and "Your Own Worst Enemy: Why Flawed Characters Make the Story Better – Or Worse” at Book Con on Sunday, June 2 at 2:30 pm.
