Ahmedabad, Gujarat Jan 20, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - The Advertising Club, India hosted the latest edition of the coveted EFFIE AWARDS INDIA 2020 presented by COLORS. Announced at an event at Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai, the awards saw the entire media and advertising fraternity of Mumbai coming together.
Hindustan Unilever Limited and Star India were adjudged joint winners of EFFIE clients of the year. While McCann Worldgroup India and Ogilvy Group were named EFFIE India agencies of the year.
Interestingly, a political campaign 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' was awarded EFFIE Silver in the category of Government, Institutions, and Recruitments. Manish Bardia, CMD of Moving Pixels Pvt. Ltd., received the honor while giving entire credit to the Prime Minister's team.
We all know that the year 2019 was the year of elections. In the first half of the year, Indians in every part of the country were busy discussing politics, parties, and leaders. This was the time when social media turned into mainstream media while traditional media was already playing its part. It was way back in 2014 that Prime Minister Modi declared himself a 'Chowkidar' of the country and by the time of next election, opposition coined a term — 'Chowkidar Chor Hai'. Though this allegation was baseless, it spread like wildfire.
Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced‘Main Bhi Chowkidar Hoon’, a team of Manish Bardia started shaping a campaign around-- 'Main Bhi Chowkidar Hoon'. This campaign took social media by storm. A series of songs and multiple films which were completely non-political in nature gave a strong message that whoever is doing good for society and country is a ‘Chowkidar’, just like Prime Minister Mr. Modi!
The campaign soon landed from social media onto the ground, and it shut off the opposition’s only strategy, completely, and forever. Undoubtedly, the impact was seen in the form of a great win again for PM Modi with one of the largest majorities in the history of Indian politics.
Manish Bardia, a creative mind, is a graduate in Fine Art from Ahmedabad. He has designed many milestone campaigns with his team for Bharatiya Janata Party and has contributed in many ways to campaigns like ‘Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai’, ‘Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar’, ‘Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas’, and programs like Swachh Bharat, Aadhaar, GST, Ujjwala, etc.
