Auburn, New York May 2, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Munchies fast food restaurant in Auburn NY is donating 100 meals this Friday, May 1st to the Auburn Community Hospital as a thank you for working tirelessly on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic.
There will be two drop-off times, an early afternoon for 1st shift, and an early evening for the 2nd shift.
Munchies efforts don’t stop there though. Starting on Friday, May 1st, Munchies will be offering a 25% discount to all first responders who place an order for take-out or delivery. They will also be collecting meal donations from customers who place an order and have set up an online donation platform on Facebook for the general public to donate meals.
Doug Nolan, CEO of Munchies, stated that it “feels great to give back to the front line, that has risked their lives to help all of us”.
Munchies plans to continue their efforts next week with a second meal drop-off at the Auburn Community Hospital, Auburn Police Department, Auburn Ambulance Corps, Auburn Fire Company, Auburn Correctional Facility, and the NY State Trooper Headquarters in Auburn, of over 500 meals including customer donated meals and food donated by Krispy Krunchy Chicken.
“We truly appreciate all you do for our community. Your courageous acts are truly inspirational to us all. Thank you”, says Judy Shutter, Store Manager of Munchies. She is grateful for the opportunity to give back to those who have given the community so much.
District Manager, Jimmy Corella stated that he is grateful for local first responders and is proud to be a part of giving back ”We are very grateful for the first responders and we are proud to be able to give back to those who have given us all so much”.
