Naser Banaqeeb Talks About His Love For Writing And “Three Last Wishes” His Latest Novel

Hyderabad, Telangana Dec 23, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - Naser Banaqeeb is a writer from Hyderabad. He made his debut with the novel, Theft of Nizam’s Gold. He talks about his love for writing and his latest novel, Three Last Wishes.

Why do you write?

I write because I love writing. I write because I have a goal to achieve. A promise that I have to fulfill. To be honest, my father was a good writer. I still miss him a lot. He left behind so many creative things. Of course, nothing was published under his name. I can say I am inspired by my father. He is the one who also encouraged me to be a self-learner because he was of the view that nobody can teach you as much you can teach yourself because, life is all about learning new things. A time comes when you have to take the lead to teach yourself things that can open new facets of life and you can move forward taking the new ways from there.  If I am able to create some stories then it’s all because of my father.

What was your first novel?

Theft of Nizam’s Gold was my first novel. The idea of it actually sprouted up with me learning more about the stories of the Nizam's era from people around me. There were so many mysteries or secrets that are still unrevealed. I took it upon this as an opportunity to research a little about the Nizam’s era, interviewed people and created the novel. It was a great learning experience for me.

What is the theme of your latest novel “Three Last Wishes”?

Three Last Wishes is all about life and its complexities. Of course you do not get a second chance to relive the best moments of your life but, what if you are given an opportunity to relive beautiful moments of your life again and again. This may come at a price too. Wishes rarely come true. Anyone reading the novel will acknowledge that it is different to be yourself when you are obsessed with some evil desires.

Do you follow any schedule?

No, I don't follow any schedule. Even if I create one, I find it difficult to stick to it. It is difficult. There is a lot of rush. Things come up and you have no choice but to run after them. But, whenever I get time, I write until I get tired, until I create some meaningful scenes. .

What is the best piece of advice that you have ever got?

“You have a long way to go.” You have to travel and travel and there is no end to creativity.
