Silicon Valley, California Aug 9, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - NeuroKai, a new venture co-founded by ALIENTELLIGENCE founder Bo Gregorix ("Greg"), today emerged from stealth with the launch of Quantum Organoid Intelligence (QOI) — a new category of computing in which living human neural tissue serves as the substrate, and ALIENTELLIGENCE Quantum Kai serves as the orchestrator. The company is opening a founding research cohort today for both its on-premises NK-1 biocomputing device and its hosted Vivarium platform.
Where digital AI models spend billions of parameters and megawatt-hours approximating the way a brain learns, NeuroKai starts with the real thing. Human iPSC-derived neural organoids — roughly half a millimetre across — are cultured directly onto microelectrode arrays, then held in a closed microfluidic loop that has extended median culture viability to 147 days and pushed the fleet best to 214. Each node is bidirectional across eight channels, sampled continuously at 30 kHz, and answers to a closed-loop control layer running at a median 6.4 millisecond latency.
What makes NeuroKai a company rather than a lab is what runs on top of that biology. Living tissue drifts — cultures mature, excitability shifts, nodes age out — and no fixed control program can hold a moving substrate.
