New App Launches Focused on Connecting the Community Through Food

On-demand app allows users to order plates and food products from local chefpreneurs, small batch artisans, food trucks, and restaurants.

Columbia, South Carolina Sep 8, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - Brandon Gantt is excited to announce the launch of his new app, SAPi Foodie. The app aims to harness the connection that food brings while taking people back to their roots of eating locally — every day of the week — while providing the first online platform dedicated to accelerating emerging food businesses.

“People are looking to connect with each other, especially after the past three years, and we’re planning to connect people around the table,” he said. “Food is the ingredient that binds us all together, and SAPi will help communities share their stories and favorite plates and products while staying connected.”

SAPi plans to champion the local food scene by creating a home for food explorers and foodpreneurs to connect over a delicious, home-cooked meal, consumer packaged goods, and authentic plates by providing a marketplace for people to buy and sell food, equipping anyone in the area with the ability to sell their latest creations while connecting the community around food.

“SAPi is building a food ecosystem and marketplace that removes the barriers for aspiring chefpreneurs, small batch artisans, and restauranteurs,” Gantt explained. “With SAPi, these creatives don’t have to worry about spending thousands of dollars to get their food businesses up and running. Instead, they can use our app to connect to the community around them to build their businesses and relationships at the same time.”

The app works in three simple steps:

  • Set the table: Scroll through the Table where hundreds of local plates and products are posted to find the perfect order, or apply filters such as Category, Cuisine, Diet, and Ingredients to connect with local kitchens.
  • Pay: Once a user has found the dish that they’ve been craving, they can purchase it with the click of a button and receive the time and location to pick up their plate.
  • Pick up: Head to the location at the time of pick up and enjoy a delectable meal prepared by a home chef. Users can also connect with the kitchen via the app to ask any questions or leave comments.

About SAPi

The idea for SAPi came from founder Brandon Gantt’s family trying to put together a Thanksgiving Dinner during the pandemic. Eventually, they put together a potluck where all of their friends and family pieced together a wonderful dinner and memories to last a lifetime. Gantt wants users to be able to create those same warm and fuzzy feelings and memories — while enjoying a delicious meal — any day of the week with SAPi.
