Morgillo’s autobiographical work, The Rabid Watchdogs - Abuses Within Our Imperfect World: Reflections of a Psychotherapist, exposes the massive abuses of medical fraud investigations in the late 80s which led to false convictions of medical professionals. Morgillo, one of the professionals falsely accused, shares her story so she can heal and warn her fellow practitioners of their vulnerability.
The book narrates the struggles Morgillo went through, starting with the false allegations from a disgruntled employee to going through the mockery of a grand jury trial. The author aims to educate readers so they will have an open mind to look at both sides of the problem. She also wants readers to learn from the trials she endured and encourage them to have faith so they could remain steadfast in surviving whatever challenges life throws at them.
Born and raised in a small rural community, Morgillo’s parents taught her by their example to have a deep faith in God and to live with a strong moral foundation. She received her advanced educational degrees mainly at the University of Toledo but also studied at Boston College, Reitan Neuropsychology Laboratory, and The Menninger Foundation.
Mary’s work will be exhibited at the Manila International Book Fair to be held at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Philippines, this coming Sept. 11-15, 2019 from 10am-8pm at the Authors Press booth no. 2-35.
