Lancaster, Pennsylvania Jun 26, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - Professional counselors, therapists, and social workers looking to accumulate continuing education units (CEUs) to satisfy mandates within their industry will find interesting discussions at a local series offered this September. SunPoint Wellness Center of Lancaster, PA is pleased to announce a new, affordable, useful, and accredited program designed to fulfill the training needs of professionals with certificates or licenses to practice within mental health professions.
There will be a variety of topics covered, and all presentations are designed to benefit counseling professionals and therapists. Training will be offered in the late afternoon to accommodate working professionals. This way, counselors can get in a full day of practice and helping clients before coming to the training sessions.
“Our team specifically designed the training around schedules of the counseling community. Time is a precious commodity, and client needs are always a priority, so it made sense to conduct the training late in the afternoon,” said Laura Morse, Executive Director of SunPoint Wellness.
Topics will include issues that frequently come up in therapy. Trainings will address intimacy, addiction, trauma, dealing with professional burnout, and a host of other subjects that are of interest and necessity to the counseling community.
All sessions will be held in the Lancaster Arts Hotel from four to six p.m. Those who cannot make the training because of previously held obligations will be invited to join the other mental health practitioners at six p.m. in the hotel bar for snacks and drinks.
