Books for Children ages 8-12

Arnold, Missouri Mar 4, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - New Middle Grade Book by Local Author Features Child with Epilepsy

A local author just released a middle-grade contemporary book series with an epileptic protagonist.

LitPick, an online Book Review Team, called The Woes of a Ginger Named Red--Book 1--The Big Move, "A book with an important message for children about dealing with life's challenges at a young age"

According to the CDC, approximately 470,000 children in the United States suffer from epilepsy.  These children do not currently have role models with the same struggles as them in their books.  NOW THEY DO.  The Woes of a Ginger Named Red--Book 1--The Big Move introduces us to Ginger--a 3rd grader with the regular struggles of childhood, in addition to epilepsy and the effects from it.

Ginger is not only a positive role model for epileptic children but for any child who struggles with any aspect of life as a child in 2019.
