In the novel, a group of scientists and conservationists put their lives on the line as they try to protect and save elephants from poachers in Kenya’s Tsavo National Park. Dr. Botkin worked as a professional journalist and has already published sixteen books with major publishers. He has a B.A. in physics from the University of Rochester, an M.A.in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin, and a PhD in biology from Rutgers University.
