Boise, Idaho Feb 25, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - A new start-up, Monarc, has designed a premium bag series made using 100 recycled plastic bottles. Founders, Nathan and Jesse, have announced that they will be going live with their crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter on earth day, 4/22/2020. The company has set out to raise money to produce the first batch of their Settra series line that is designed to not only simplify everyday lifestyle but to divert plastic waste from our oceans & landfills into long-lasting sustainable products.
“It’s no secret that plastic pollution has become a crisis we can no longer ignore. Microplastics in our oceans have gotten so out of hand that it’s estimated by 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish. Every day, over 60 million plastic water bottles are being thrown away with only an average of 9% of them actually being recycled. This is damaging to our planet’s ecology, our food chain, and our survival as a species’. Jesse added, “By choosing to use recycled materials to build our bags we are using resources that are already available to us, lowering our carbon footprint and helping to tackle the plastic waste problem.”
The Settra Series is a premium all-in-one everyday carry, gym duffel, and travel backpack. Each bag is engineered with durable ‘global recycled standard certified’ RPET fabric. Along with the Everyday Duffel Pack, they have created compact and modular added inserts to make the bag even more functional. The entire series comes with two compression packs and a laundry bag to allow you to condense and arrange your clothes for travel, a camera and lens gear case with divided inserts to protect and organize your equipment, and a tech pack to keep all of your cords, drives, chargers and other digital tackle in order.
