New Orleans, Louisiana Nov 22, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Delta Zeta Delta recently formed their organization during the 2020 quarantine where the idea of sisterhood and helping others became of significant importance.
The Founder, Danielle Tennent, and the Delta Zeta Delta Board understood the need for a sorority that is unlike any current sorority with the main goal being able to offer a unique, engaging, and lifetime sorority experience to those currently attending or graduated from a “non-traditional” university or school. Tennent attended both Louisiana State University and is now a junior at Strayer University (an online program) as a 36-year-old mother. She found that at both universities, although she wanted to be a part of a sorority, she did not fit the mold of any sorority offered. Delta Zeta Delta brings women from all walks of life together to create opportunities for networking, philanthropy, fellowship, and so much more. Delta Zeta Delta also offers scholarships for members and has created a fund for its sisters in the event they have emergency situations in life and have no place else to turn. Delta Zeta Delta’s founder says, “We don’t just call each other sisters…..We really are sisters and we will forever keep it that way!”
Delta Zeta Delta welcomes currently enrolled students and alumnae at traditional or online universities and colleges, trade schools, or any other higher education program. Tennent states, “Before Delta Zeta Delta, women in cosmetology, technical schools, etc. did not have the opportunity to become a member of a sorority. We are changing the way people look at sororities in a major way!”
Since the creation of Delta Zeta Delta in September 2020, the sorority currently has over 100 members across the United States and is growing.
