Ofer Levin Investments: Austria is Becoming a World Leader in Hydropower Manufacturing

Austria is gradually becoming the prominent leader of hydropower manufacturing with remarkable plans of building two significant hydropower plants in different regions of the country

Poggersdorf, Carinthia Mar 30, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - The two major hydropower plants are projected to cost over half a billion euros, and they will be constructed in Limberg III in Kaprun, Salzburg, and Reisseck II+ in Carinthia, respectively. The purpose of this is to provide tremendous energy efficiency in these regions and the country at large.

Ofer Levin, investments pundit, highlights the investment opportunities that come with the Hydropower plants:

“Building two major hydropower plants in Salzburg and Carinthia will bring about more sustainable energy efficiency for the regions, enabling businesses to become more productive. The proposed power plants will help shape the future of energy and businesses in Austria, and investors can key in to make good use of this opportunity.”

The completion of these two power plants will play an essential role in the future needs of the energy transition. With these two new hydropower projects that are well-designed for future energy needs, Austria takes the leadership role in the quest for a CO2-free power supply.

The peculiarity of the two proposed hydropower plants

The two power plants proposed to be constructed in Limberg III in Kaprun, Salzburg and Reisseck II+ in Carinthia, respectively, have these peculiarities:

Limberg III

The hydropower proposed to be constructed at Kaprun is designed to cater to future needs of the energy transition. Limberg III is specifically designed to eliminate CO2 supply to the atmosphere, and the construction is projected to commence this year and be completed within four years.

The proposed Limberg III will be an improved version of the current Kaprun’s power plant, Limberg II, that supplies about 100,000 households for one whole week.

Following the construction of the present Kaprun’s power plant, Limberg III is also proposed to be an underground construction between the two existing reservoirs of Mooserboden and Wasserfallboden.

Reisseck II +

The construction of Reisseck II+ will start in spring 2021, and the project is estimated to cost some 60 million euros. After completing the project, the plant is projected to increase regional economic boost and long-term employment opportunities.

By 2023, the Reisseck II+ plant, coupled with the other existing hydropower systems, will support the integration of wind and photovoltaic systems in Austria and the provision of support for grid security.

“The proposed hydropower plant constructions are worthwhile investments that will provide significant value for the regions and improve the country’s overall economy. With these two value-creation projects, more than 3,000 jobs will be created for the citizens, and investors should position themselves for available opportunities” - the investments expert and art collector, Ofer Levin GTI, concludes.
