Delhi, India Aug 25, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Oxbow Explore, a professional expedition execution partner, wishes to clarify its position regarding the Tri-Nation Tri-Services Lord Buddha Circuit Motorcycle Expedition, also known as the Heartfulness Ride or Lord Buddha Peace Circuit. This initiative was originally conceived to commence from Lumbini, Nepal, and proceed through key sites in India, including Bodh Gaya and Visakhapatnam, before extending into Sri Lanka, with the aim of promoting peace and cultural exchange.
The expedition has faced significant challenges, having been postponed on four occasions over the past two years due to financial constraints and organizational difficulties. The fifth attempt, scheduled for August, encountered similar initial hurdles, resulting in delays and an inability to commence from the planned starting point in Nepal.
Based on verbal assurances from the convener, including references to a proposed high-profile event in Nagpur attended by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Oxbow team and the participants—comprising senior officers from the Armed Forces—were relocated to Nagpur to facilitate the expedition's launch. Regrettably, the anticipated event did not materialize, and full financial obligations that were agreed prior to the launch were not fulfilled. These unforeseen changes necessitated last-minute arrangements for motorcycles and support logistics, which deviated from established professional standards. These raised serious concerns on safety of participating Riders who are all senior armed forces officers and expedition team.
Following two days of travel, and in light of ongoing concerns regarding incomplete financial settlements, lack of transparency in information sharing, and inconsistent communication from the convener, Oxbow Explore has made the considered decision to withdraw its association with the expedition effective immediately.
