Pharmaphorum Teams with MS Trust and Biogen Organize A Webinar on Multiple Sclerosis Digital Health

Quality in the Delivery of Services (QuDoS), an initiative of Pharmaphorum and MS Trust, organizes a webinar tagged Digital health: how can technology be used to engage hard-to-reach patients and assist with patient monitoring?

London, United Kingdom Apr 17, 2018 (Issuewire.com)  - Quality in the Delivery of Services, otherwise known as QuDoS, is a Pharmaphorum initiative in conjunction with the MS Trust and sponsored by a number of pharmaceutical companies, with the primary aim of improving the quality of services delivered by operators in the health sector. The program has announced that it will be holding a webinar to teach participants how digital health can be used to manage patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Multiple Sclerosis is one of the commonest health conditions that affect millions of people across the globe. Unfortunately, patients and their loved ones including professionals are not adequately informed on how to deal with the condition. This is where QuDoS hopes to make a difference with the webinar scheduled to hold at 12.30pm on 20 April.

Tagged Digital health: how can technology be used to engage hard-to-reach patients and assist with patient monitoring?, the webinar will feature a panel of experts that include well-trained and highly experienced MS health professionals, offering practical help on utilising digital health in everyday practice.

The webinar presenters include the MS Trust’s director of development, Jo Sopala; MS Society ambassador and People’s Strictly star, Trishna Bharadia; and Specialist MS healthcare professional, Rachel Morrison from NHS Western Isles. Each of the speakers will be giving different perspectives of MS including the patient’s perspective and that of the caregiver, offering tips and advice on how best to utilise technology for treating MS.

During the discussion, the panel will explain how digital health can be used to:

  • Increase patient access to quality, trusted information through digital translation services
  • Offer greater support through online peer support and symptom management apps
  • Boost adherence through electronic reminder systems
  • Increase involvement in clinical trials through wearable technologies
  • Increase access to services through remote appointments
