Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh Dec 18, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - A student innovation team from Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT), Kanpur has unveiled a pioneering AI and IoT-based Public Health Surveillance System designed to help India predict and monitor disease outbreaks in real time.
The project, led by Anand Rawat, with team members Anand Sen, Anandi Singh, and Ananya Agarwal, under the mentorship of Dr. Vipin Kumar Jaiswal, introduces a low-cost biosensor and hybrid cloud-blockchain architecture capable of tracking vitals such as ECG, heart rate, temperature, oxygen levels, and geolocation.
During the Grand Finale of Tech Expo 2025 (21st–22nd November 2025), the system received strong appreciation from the jury, who encouraged the team to implement the model using real Indian health data collected through laboratories and field research—highlighting its potential national impact.
“Our goal is to build an affordable and scalable health surveillance system that can support India’s rural and underserved populations while contributing to a healthier, technologically advanced nation,” said Team Leader Anand Rawat.
This innovation aligns with India’s digital health mission and supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 – Good Health & Well-being, with applications in:
✅ Pandemic & epidemic monitoring
✅ Remote patient care
✅ Rural healthcare support
✅ Public health data analytics
Project Mentor Dr. Vipin Kumar Jaiswal stated that the solution represents India’s growing capability in AI-driven medical technology and opens doors for real-world deployment in hospitals, labs, and public health programs.
