Rochester, New York Sep 29, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Puerto Rican artist and independent vocalist Omar Cabán announces the upcoming release of Dimensión, a new audiovisual music project exploring time, identity, space, and the possibility of alternate realities through music and cinematic storytelling.
Cabán first gained international recognition in Japan in 2013, when he became the first Latino to win NTV’s Nodojiman THE WORLD, a Japanese televised singing competition featuring international performers. His connection with Japanese music and culture has remained an important part of his artistic journey ever since.
Now, Cabán brings that international background into a deeply personal new project.
Dimensión combines an original song with a cinematic music video built around scientific and philosophical concepts, including relativity, quantum entanglement, entropy, and the idea of multiple dimensions. The visual narrative presents different versions of Cabán while using a tesseract as one of the project's central visual symbols.
The project begins with Breve Eternidad, a cinematic prologue that introduces the story and establishes the conceptual world surrounding Dimensión.
“Dimensión is a very personal project. It came from a lot of introspection and from my fascination with ideas like dimensions, parallel worlds and the concepts we find in science. I wanted to use those ideas as metaphors to explore something much more human — time, identity, the choices we make, and the lives we imagine could exist. Sometimes I imagine what it would be like if, somewhere beyond the reality we experience, there were other possibilities of who I could have been — different versions of myself shaped by different moments, choices, and paths. And I think that if I could ever encounter those versions of myself, the one thing I would want is to be at peace with all of them — to understand who I was, who I am, and who I could have been, and then keep moving forward. That, in many ways, is what Dimensión means to me.”
The project also reflects Cabán's longstanding connection to international music. His work spans Spanish, Japanese, Korean and English, with influences ranging from Latin music to J-Pop, K-Pop and anime music.
Rather than approaching Dimensión simply as a song release, Cabán developed the project as an audiovisual experience in which the music, imagery and narrative are designed to complement one another.
Dimensión will be released on October 1, 2026, alongside its official music video and availability on major streaming platforms.
