Rajalakshmi Engineering College: Pioneering AI Education with India’s First AI for Future Workforce Lab

The AI Skills Lab at REC will serve as a Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence, providing students with the opportunity to explore and master various aspects of AI, including Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), OpenVINO, and Neural Compute Stick 2 (NCS2). By leveraging these cutting-edge technologies, the lab will bridge the digital skills gap and cultivate industry-ready talent for the future workforce.

Both the labs were inaugurated by Ms. Arpita Agrawal, Director of Corporate Sales - South, Education, Healthcare, and Startups at Dell Technologies, and Ms. Saloni Singhal, Program Manager for Intel Digital Readiness, Asia Pacific & Japan at Intel Corporation. Dr. C.R. Muthukrishnan, Advisor at Rajalakshmi Institutions, presided over the event, marking the beginning of a new era in AI education at REC.
