Raleigh, North Carolina Jul 5, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - Raleigh woman Jennifer Evans is vying for the cover of Maxim Magazine. Currently, Evans is competing as a Wildcard in the Maxim Magazine Covergirl Competition and must finish in 1ST Place on Sunday, July 5th at 11 pm Est. to continue in the competition towards gaining the cover.

Having her picture on the cover of Maxim would be an honor and would "be absolutely incredible. I would be speechless and so very grateful" says Evans. However, not for the reasons, you may assume. Evans says "I would adore gracing the cover of Maxim, " she said. However, "I  am most proud of supporting Jared Allen Home for Wounded Warriors and empowering other women. My grandfather proudly served in our military and I am proud to assist in supporting an organization that provides housing for our veterans. They sacrificed for us and it is one small way I can encourage others to give back." In addition, Evans adds, "the prize money associated with winning the cover would be used to help put my daughter's through college."

Education has always been important to Evans and her family. Evans obtained her B.A. in Sociology from NC State and graduated Summa Cum Laude. While at NC State she was repeatedly on the Dean's List and President's List. She was also a member of Gamma Beta Phi and the National Scholars Honor Society. During her time at NC State, she trained at dawn at the local ice rink before classes each day and worked the 2nd shift full-time at a local hotel after classes, beginning her interest in hospitality management. Evans says, "I enjoyed helping customers and knowing that I could help make their stay and visit lovely."

Although she greatly enjoyed the hospitality, Evans says, "I always knew I wanted to go to either medical school or law school. I wanted to save the world."  Evans chose North Carolina Central University School of Law and was told that she is the first law student to graduate from the 3-year J.D. program in just 2-years. Evans is humble and begins to blush at the discussion of her accomplishments, adding, "I am a proud Legal Eagle. Very grateful to have been able to attend a university with such intelligent and inspiring minds." While at NCCU, she interned with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, studied veterans law, and obtained the Justice in the Practice of Law certificate.  In addition, Evans has also obtained a CQIA Certification. Next, the bubbly and cheerful red-head has her sights set on the Mensa test. Evans says, "I enjoy learning."

If you think Evans looks familiar, it is quite possible you have seen her before. Evans is also a professional figure skating instructor, actress, and model with local representation. However, when asked what she does, Evans replies, "I am a mom first and foremost. I enjoy every second of it." Evans is reluctant to discuss her own accomplishments and wants to discuss charitable endeavors and her children. Evans enjoys volunteering within her community and her children's organizations, cooking, playing with her kids, and traveling when she can. She is member of the PTA and a Scout leader.

Her acting credits include movies, such as A Long Way Off, The Marriage Plot, Hielo, and Outside of Darkness, as well as TV and commercials. A full list of her additional credits can be found on IMDB under Jennifer M. Evans and you can follow her on Instagram @officialjenevans.

Evans' hard work and determination with an optimistic attitude come from her upbringing and she credits her mother with teaching her the importance of hard work, being humble and using her life to make the world a better place. Evans adds, "Life is not always perfect, but it is always a beautiful gift." When asked why, Evans adds, "Because each day is an opportunity to do good in the world and be the light others may need."
