From being the Chief RTO of Thane and the Konkan region to the chief of road safety in Maharashtra, he has proved that we can make a change if we are focused enough on our goals. Ravi Gaikwad IPS have two other achievements in his name as he is the chairman of the handball federation of India and has also contributed to the Indian Olympic Association. At all the stages of his life, he did his duties and made us proud.
Early Life
Ravi Gaikwad, who was born and raised in Pune, is the son of Kishanrao and Pushpa Gaikwad. He got his inspiration from his father who is a retired Bureaucraft and has served his country for so many years. His mother is a housewife who raised Ravi Gaikwad IPS and supported him in every phase of life.
Education
Ravi Gaikwad completed his primary and secondary education from Little Flower convent High School and pursues his graduation in electronics and telecommunication and won the gold medal for his performance all over the universities of Maharashtra.
Passion for cricket:
Ravi Gaikwad has always been connected to different kinds of sports. He was such a cricket lover that he made his place in Under-15, Under-17, Under19 and Ranji camp. He has played cricket and has spent a lot of years In this game. However, he had to drop his passion for cricket when he started his graduation. He had to choose between cricket and his further education and unsurprisingly, he went for his further education as he was the topper of secondary education examinations. To the day, he is still connected to cricket and football and has organized a cricket league to spread the awareness of Road safety.
Career:
Ravi Gaikwad IPS started his career as the regional transport officer of Andheri. He served his tenure of around 6 years there and then he was appointed as the deputy Regional transport officer. He has been the RTO of Mumbai also but now he is serving as the RTO of Thane and Konkan.
Guinness World Record
Ravi Gaikwad has registered a Guinness world record on his name by holding the world’s largest road safety class in Mumbai. Ravi Gaikwad Mumbai led the team to contribute a lot to road safety through these classes.
Ravi Gaikwad is also organizing a cricket league with 5 cricketers from 5 different countries which will be played in 2020. It Includes India, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies who will spread the awareness of road safety. There are a lot of incidents happening in India involving road safety issues.
It will feature more than 110 cricketers and 5 or 6 captains will get their teams so that they can play different matches and spread the awareness towards road safety. We appreciate this contribution of Ravi Gaikwad and are waiting to watch this series with our favorite players.
