Shawnee, Oklahoma May 10, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Dr. Robert Louis Shepard, a renowned scientist, motivational speaker, and writer, has taken his time during the early months of the new year to mentor two black students from Oklahoma Baptist University. The two students are Thomas Meadough (Sophomore Marketing Major) and Bryant Westmoreland (Junior Marketing Major).
These students were offered the chance by their digital marketing professor named Dr. Daryl Green and both the students are now working remotely with Dr. Shepard in a micro internship. They kicked off their first meeting on February 12th. The scientist took a keen interest in finding out what the students did, their passion, and more.
They were given three months to work with him and they had to work on Dr. Shepard’s website, improve his social media presence and push the total buyers of his biography as well. Together, they made smart use of Google analytics and even created a Facebook Ad campaign.
While working together, Dr. Shepard managed to forge the right relationship with both students. He has inspired them to take the right direction in their career and thereby mentored them in a befitting manner. Such has been his prolific work that his mural was placed at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission where he became the first black Ph.D. scientist in the NRC’s division of Nuclear Material Safety & Safeguards (NMSS) to be applauded with such a massive honor.
He is surely elated with all of it and hopes to continue to inspire and motivate people to achieve even more. He wants to be sure that his work keeps him going and he would also like to connect with the youth.
Those who would like to know more about the meeting that happened between the scientist and his students should visit .
