Rubin Chair and Division Head of Gastroenterology at the University of Washington, she oversees a team of researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to studying and treating liver diseases, particularly non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and alcoholic liver disease (ALD).
Her research is focused on understanding the mechanisms of insulin resistance in these liver diseases, using both in vivo and cellular approaches.
