Mumbai, Maharashtra Nov 22, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - D Y Patil Deemed to be University, School of Management, Belapur, Navi Mumbai, hosted the Intercollegiate Sports Event – “Colosseum 2018”.
The highlight of this event was the Run for a cause – a 10 km open marathon wherein more than 300 runners from different age groups participated from different colleges and corporates. As a part of the schools’ initiative of highlighting a cause during every event, this year students took up the cause on “Women Empowerment” and “Road Safety”. Before the run, super exciting Bollywood Zumba session took place for warming up the runners. All the finishers of this run have earned certificates and medals and winners have got cash Prizes too.
Dr R Gopal, Director and HOD, DYPUSM said that as an institution, D Y Patil Deemed to be University, School of Management’s objective has always been to inculcate a sporting spirit and to move towards a FIT INDIA.
Dr Sarika P, Faculty Sports Coordinator, DYPUSM says “Through such events, we also help our students learn values of life which get imbibed into their thinking, thus helping them succeed in all walks of life. It gives me immense pleasure to see all the students participating in large numbers”.
