An Oscar-type red-carpet event on 27th April 2019 where winners and runners up will receive an award and prizes.

Lytham St Annes, Lancashire Sep 26, 2018 (Issuewire.com)  - Schools Film and Photography Festival Awards is an online festival and Oscar- type red carpet event organized to recognize young, talented minds and hands between the ages of 10 and 17 while providing them with a platform to show the world their talents. The founder and organizers of the event have announced the opening of submission for the different categories of the event including film, television, and photography.

The film and photography sector of the industry has particularly grown in recent times as more people enter the industry. However, young talents have not particularly had the opportunity to showcase and develop their talent. This is where Schools Film and Photography Festival Awards is looking to change the narrative and make a difference by giving children and young people a chance of social mobility and to enhance their creative development whilst in and outside of school.

The upcoming event is a testament to efforts. Submissions of works commence on the 24th September and will run till 8th March 2019, allowing interested participants in the film, television, and photography to submit their works for assessment and recognition.

Several giants in the entertainment industry and community leaders have been confirmed as judges for the submission. The confirmed judges are as follows:

The event is also supported by representatives of the local boroughs to include; Mayor Councillor Marge Anderton and Mayoress Mrs. Wendy Groves from Wyre Council. Deputy Mayor Councillor, Kath Rowson and  Deputy Mayoress Ms. Joan Goldin from Blackpool Council.  Mayor Councillor Peter Collins and Mayoress and Mrs. Caroline Collins from Fylde Council.

The awards event will be held at Aztec Venue, Pleasure Island, South Promenade, St.Annes FY8 1LS.On 27th April 2019 from 17.00 to 20.00.
