Pittsburg, California Sep 11, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Daniel B. Botkin explores the dangers scientists and conservationists face in saving elephants in his new novel TSAVO: Oddball Researchers Use Data and Guns to Save African Elephants. Daniel used his knowledge of African elephants and national parks to provide the right amount of detail and enrich his story.
The story is about a small group of American and British scientists trying to save elephants from poachers in the dusty plains of Tsavo National Park in Kenya. The group, always in threatening situations, are chased by lions, deadly poachers, and a hostile tribe. In order to survive and protect the elephants, the group must also overcome the inner conflicts and rivalries hovering over them.
“This book is the perfect read for anyone who is interested in conservation efforts, the environment or the history of our world and it’s animal kingdom populations overall. This book is even more relevant than ever today, with the current political climate even affecting big game hunting laws and imports regarding the ivory and trophy trade,” shares Hollywood Book Review.
Daniel’s work will be exhibited at the Manila International Book Fair to be held at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Philippines this coming September 11-15, 2019 at Authors Press’ booth between 10:30am-5:30pm. Festival goers and readers from all ages will get an exclusive preview of the book. To get the latest update on authors, like and follow Authors Press on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
